SHEPHERD BOY raced forwardly throughout and held the remainder safe at the end. PATS DAUGHTER saved- ground in the stretch. REGARDLESS closed ground following a slow beginning. MARY SEIBERT stumbled and fell shortly after the start. OLD HONESTY -suffered interference and was forced to pull up when the mishap occurred. The latter saved ground in the run home. TADDY BANE closed much ground. COPPER KITTY, always well up, displaced IN STEP from the lead on the turn for home, but was no match for the winner. IN STEP displayed the most parly speed, but tired steadily during the run home. SPEEDY RETURN displaced MR. QUICK from the lead while rounding the stretch turn and had sufficient in reserve to withstand the final closing bid of BIG GAY. The latter closed strongly next the Inner rail in the run home and was wearing the winner down. PERSUADER steadily improved position land held on fairly well. WEE HEDWIG was crowded back in the back stretch, then moved up on the outside on the turn for home, only to tire nearing the end. PAKALA began slowly, but closed steadily when too late.
