DE VALERA SENDS REGRETS ALBANY, N. Y., May 2.— Governor Leh-mann today made public a telegram from Eamon De Valera, prime minister of Ireland, expressing regret that he will be unable to visit New York state this month as planned. "I much regret that the situation created by a recent development gravely affecting our country has compelled me to postpone my intended visit to America," De Valera cabled. "I hope the postponement will be of brief duration. Meanwhile, I thank you again for your invitation and ask you! to accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused by the unavoidable change in arrangements." |
