COMMISSION NAMES OFFICIALS Ghris FitzGerald, Jr., Steward, Oscar Bachman, Mutuels, and J. C. Stortz, - Veterinarian at Fairmount Park. ! 1 The Illinois Racing Commission announced Tuesday that Christopher FitzGerald, Jr., will represent the commission at Fairmount Park this year as its steward; Oscar Bachman will supervise the mutuels and J. C. Stortz, of Edwardsville, will be the ruling bodys veterinarian. . Julius Bauer, veteran owner and trainer, will act as assistant to Dr. Stortz during the fifty-nine days of racing at Collinsville, in a new post, the details of which will be revealed by the commission tomorrow. George Foster, racing commission secretary, is leaving for Fairmount Park, Thursday, to be on hand for the opening. The Fairmount meeting will inaugurate the Illinois season this year because of the cancellation at Aurora.
