PARADISE GIRL, away nicely, was hustled along to keep up with" HIGH BUD in the early racing, stayed on the inside to draw into the lead entering the stretch, then was ridden hard to the close. HIGH BUD showed good speed and continued willingly when caught. MARIYAH bettered her position while saving ground in the late stages and finished gamely. DANS FOLLY could not get to the leaders. BREAKING WAVES broke sluggishly and failed to enter contention. BALKY FOX was never a threat. NAVIGATION lost much ground. HAZEL W. was outrun. Scratched— Tell Me, 112. GREENY, hard hustled after the start, moved into a short lead in the First three-eighths, drew clear when reaching the turn, saved ground, but had to be shaken up strongly to withstand EVENING LIGHT. The latter was close up from the start and came with good energy in the final drive. RED GLARE, saving ground and going promptly, continued gamely to the end. CHAINWICK, forced to race on the outside, failed to better his position under punishment in the closing test. BOSTON MARY suffered early interference and was unable to get to the leaders. MANILA BAY was very unruly at the gate. PANSYS FIRST was never a threat. BIT BY BIT almost fell in the first eighth when unable to avoid LADY ELGIN. WISE SISTER broke slowly and had no speed. SCOUT ABOUT was held safe. LADY ELGIN stumbled and fell during the first eighth. ANGUS moved to the front going to the first fence, fenced nicely at all of his fences, raced reserved for a mile and one-half, met a stout bid from TROLIGHT coming to the last fence and drew out when the latter fell. IRISH LANCER was badly outrun all during the running, but finished courageously to beat LORO for second. LORO raced strongly for the first mile then tired. GRUMPY lost his rider at the twelfth fence then was remounted to finish in the time limit for fourth. TROLIGHT, saved for the first mile, gained fast when placed to a drive, reached the winner coming to the last fence, but fell. LESLIE MYER raced well for a turn of the field, tired and lost rider at the eleventh jump. CALCULATE fell at the first fence. PONEMAH sprinted into a long lead early, was rated while saving ground and had speed in reserve at the close. AMBUSCADE followed closest to the winner from the start and was hard ureod, but could not menace seriously at any time. SCORCH made up ground swiftly after the start to get into contention and linished couracenusly under punishment. ONISAC swerved out at the start, settled in stride and improved her position steadily. FLYING GLEE was prominent for three-eighths. CLOSE QUARTERS raced greenly and could not threaten. BE PREPARED broke fast, but had no speed. POLLY PORTER was badly outrun after breaking tardily. PRADIS, going along with the leaders and racing on the outside, rallied stoutly approaching the stretch, bore over on THE SERF when joining the pacemaker midway of the stretch, withstood a drive gamely and was up nearing the close. TANGANYIKA fell far out of contention early, settled in stride and came between horses to finish with a rush on the inside of the winner. THE SERF raced close up and continued gamely after being crowded by the winner during the stretch run. PART ONE was taken wide from the start and hung after making a bid at the stretch turn. TOP QUEEN was unable to get into contention. BANNER GIRL was made too much use of getting to the front when she raced through oh the inside at the final turn. SOARING HIGH quit badly. The latter, practically left when he stood flatfooted at the break, reached his field on the turn, then came through on the inside in the stretch s to finish with a bold rush. EASY MON could not get clear after moving into a short lead and faltered under punishment in the stretch after blocking ROYAL TEDDY entering the stretch. BELAY finished with good speed. The latter worked her way up on the outside and finished determinedly in the final drive. MISS SELECTION, beginning slowly, lost ground to improve her position and tired after reaching the leaders in the last eighth. SQUABBLE began slowly and lost a lot of ground to better her position. SYLVIA G. raced well placed until reaching the final turn, then tired under her weieht. MINNA tired in the last half mile. TOP SHELL was used up forcing the pace and she tired.
