CANTOVINO drew* away into a long lead while saving ground, responded when urged in the stretch run and held her opposition safe to the end. PEON was well up all the way, was placed under pressure in the stretch run and then finished well. BEE BRIGHT, in near pursuit of the early pace, had no mishaps in the running. BISSAKERRY lacked early speed and closed ground fast through the stretch. TADPOLE moved up when urged but could not menace the leaders at the end. HELLO STRANGER . dropped back after-the break and was never a factor. BING BONG could not keep up. MR. JERSEY had no excuses. SECOND RACE 3-4 MILE. King Saxon, April 20, 1935— 1:10%— 4— 118. HENRYELS PICK was under stout restraint to the final eighth and then closed fast. GIBOIR was in near pursuit of the pace from the start and had no excuses in the running. MAISCO was well up in the early stages and then faltered at the end. STEM-WINDER showed an even effort throughout. NOLLIP was outrun in the early stages. POMSEE had no excuses in the running. BIOLOGIST lacked early speed and closed with a rush at the end. POLYATA showed early speed, saved ground and had no mishaps. BELLRINGER and PLAY GOLD both quit badly at the end. The latter, in near pursuit of the pace from the start, moved up with determination when urged entering the stretch and then hung at the finish. EQUESTRIAN was outrun the first part, but could not menace the leaders and outlasted TALL STORY at the finish. The latter was under steady restraint the first part, moved up with a rush on the outside rounding the far turn and then finished with good courage through the stretch. BUBBLESOME displayed speed from the start, saved ground throughout, raced RUDIE into defeat and then faltered at the finish. CAUGHT was placed under pressure rounding the far turn, but hung at the end. PAPA JACK, a trailer in the early stages, had no mishaps. RUDIE quit badly after forcing the early pace. BRIGHT MARK was well up all the way, but quit badly in the stretch run. Scratched— 73126-Bareback, 122. SEVENTH RACE 1 MILE AND 70 YARDS.
