NINE IN DEBUTANTE STAKES Crack Band of Fillies Providing Main Event on Wednesdays Program at Churchill Downs. LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 2.— The Debutante Stakes, for juvenile fillies and the second of five stakes to be run at Churchill Downs tomorrow, will bring out a fast field to compete over five furlongs in the thirty-ninth running of the event at the famous course. Of 144 eligibles, nine are slated to go to the post in this old feature and the race will test all of the young equine misses at the longest distance they have been asked to negotiate up to this time. Entered in the ,500 added event are Val-dina Farms Valdina Bess and Valdina Gold, Mrs. P. A. B. Wideners Drury Lane, William F. Morgans I Do Believe and Downy Pillow, A. L. Fergusons Thea Dear, Louis B. Mayers Lynn, F. P. Letelliers Harvest Moon and J. W. Parrishs Whim Wham. The latter three, all maidens, will shoulder 114 pounds, five less than each of the others. The Morgan combination of two of the 1 fastest youngsters uncovered in Kentucky this season is expected to rule a pronounced favorite.
