LILLIAN ROTH, rated close to the pace under steady restraint, came around SORTIES SON when placed to strong urging in the stretch and tired badly in the late stages, but lasted. SORTIES SON, on the inside throughout, made the early pace under restraint, did not rally to punishment, yet held on well, although lame, and narrowly missed running up on LILLIAN ROTHS heels near the finish. KAPENA moved up when racing very wide on the second turn, continued to lose ground thereafter and tired in the last eighth. MARGO G. had no mishaps. BOW AND ARROW did not appear to extend himself in the last half mile. LARO KEYS raced wide and began to falter before reaching the stretch. AGNES KNIGHT could. not keep up. BOY VALET, under snug reserve for three-quarters, responded well to take command, but tired in the last sixteenth.
