All stall space has been made available and i with sixteen horses, including a lead pony, already on the ground, the barns will very V likely fill rapidly during the next couple of f weeks. A dozen horses are scheduled to r arrive over the week-end. Dr C C. Henrie of Celina, Ohio, will again serve as chemist for the Downs. All saliva tests will be made in his laboratory. Track superintendent Bee Pappert is marshalling his equipment at the far end of the track and providing Old Sol becomes a consistent visitor, Pappert will be busy on the racing strip every day for the next ten days. By that time the oat burners will be winging over the half-mile layout in business-like fashion. Racing secretary William Shewbndge will -i, distribute condition books this week to horsemen in Maryland, Kentucky and Ohio. Steve Dawson, a Wheeling restaurant operator for many years, has again been given the horsemens kitchen concession. The Dawson establishment will again be located at the end of the main barns and is now being readied for an early opening.
