More than 25,000" will be distributed to horsemen in prizes and added money in i stakes during the thirty days of the Arlington - Park meeting opening June 26, declared Charles A. Early stakes nominations point to Arlington - Parks prospects of enjoying one of the . most successful meetings since the famous i grounds were taken over eleven years ago 1 by a group of leading mid-west sportsmen, headed by John Hertz, Warren Wright, Otto j W. Lehmann, Charles A. McCulloch, Laur-ance _ H. Armour, Roy D. Keehn, Weymouth Kirkland and Leonard S. Florsheim. The I track is operated upon a non-profit basis | ! and annually in July it attracts to its stakes , the divisional champions and outstanding horses of American racing. The 0,000 added Classic Stakes, premier mid-summer test for three-year-olds, has drawn a record list of seventy-seven nominations, including Challedon, Johnstown, Porters Mite, Ciencia, Eight Thirty, Technician, Inscoelda, Impound and Benefactor. The 0,000 added Arlington Futurity, for two-year-old colts, geldings and fillies, and the 0,000 added Lassie Stakes, for two-year-old fillies, closed September 15, with nomination lists greatly increased over the past years. The remaining five stakes at the meeting will close on June 1. Nominations are to be sent to the Arlington Park Jockey Club, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
