SWALE was away in a tangle and in close quarters for half the trip, but closed stoutly in the stretch when clear. COTTON PATCH finished tiring after showing early speed. ELIHU raced evenly. HAMBURGER JIM, always close up, bore out somewhat in the last sixteenth when tiring. ODDESA BILLY, set a fast early pace, but tired in the run home, as did SHERIFF EUGENE.
