CACKLE TIME lost ground at the first turn, continued wide and could not menace. SIR TIME passed tiring horses. GEODESIAN was outrun. VENDORS LIEN was done after going three-quarters". WALLI flattened out badly when caught. HOP, away well, was sent to the front at once, fenced well under good rating and was never seriously threatened. SLIEVEREIGH, permitted to drop back in the early stages, moved into closer contention after the eighth jump, bettered his position thereafter to be closest to the winner and was easily best of the others. JACAMAR, always in a contending position, showed a good effort, but was no match for the first two. GUATEMALA raced forwardly in the early racing, but tired badly. GRUMPY was never a threat. PRINCE DANILO was badly outrun. LATERAL PASS was a beaten horse when he fell at the final jump. TROLIGHT raced well placed for a mile and one-half and lost his rider when he became unbalanced. BABY LAMB, away nicely, raced to the front early, raced SNOBBISH LADY into submission, responded to punishment in the last eighth and held on long enough to withstand SHENUIT. The latter raced forwardly in the later running while saving ground, securing racing room on the inside of the winner in the last eighth and was gaining fast at the close. SNOBBISH LADY had good speed to race with the winner, but tired after a half mile. WILDMUTE raced gamely, but could not get to the leaders. ASTER LADY was stoutly handled, but was no threat. RACE ON was never a factor. LADY MOWLEE was timidly ridden and raced wide after being taken up at the start. CANTERUP was outrun. GOVERNOR O. was done early. ROBESPIERRE, sluggish in settling into full stride, was taken to the outside of the field to reach contention, moved up quicklv on the final turn, wore down LITTLE PINKEY in the drive and was up in the final stride. LITTLE PINKEY, always well placed, disposed of WISE SHINE through the stretch to take a short lead between calls and just failed to last. BLAZING HEAT, a trailer in the early racing, moved up with a rush through the stretch and finished fastest. BALLOTER improved his position steadily and finished well. ROYAL TEDDY showed .speed in spots. HOOT TOOT was done early and pulled up slightly lame. WISE SHINE set the early pace, but quit badly when caught. ROSE BABY was done after a half mile. The latter, always well placed, was restrained from the early leaders, finished stoutly through the stretch and was wearing the winner down. BATTLE JACK had good early speed while forcing the pace of the winner, but tired from his efforts and was dropping back at the end. BUNNY BABY, a trailer in the early stages, closed very fast through the stretch. OLD ROSEBUSH moved up stoutly after a half mile, but could not keep up. PREEMINENT was never a contender. ELLABEE lacked early speed, moved into contention quickly after a -half mile, challenged stoutly in the stretch, but was not good enough. PLAYMORE. well rated in the early stages, responded well to make a bold bid on the final turn and held on well. CHASE HIM was slow to settle into stride, but closed a good gap. LADY DEMOCRAT raced as if sore and failed to rally when placed to a drive. BRIGHT GEM was unable to better her position and lost a lot of ground in the last five-sixteenths.
