FIRING OF XALAPA CLOWN "j LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 8.— Xalapa Clown, star three-year-old in the stable of Mrs. Bessie Franzheim, will not undergo firing treatment for an ailing knee, which resulted in his withdrawal from the Kentucky Derby, until he reaches New York, probably in about two weeks. A. C. Dettwiler, trainer of the colt, said that he plans to resume training the son of Eternal just as soon as he has recovered from the ailment.
