HICKORY LAD moved up fast on thn outsidp of the leaders entering the stretch and. overhauling DAVID W. whrn a sixteenth nut. was hard pressed at the end to retain his slieht advantage. BETTER FORGET saved ground in the stretch, was closing very fast when forced to take up in the last seventy yards, then came again on the outside and was wearing down the winner. A foul was claimed, but not allowed. DAVID W. saved ground on the turn for home and held on fairly well at the end. INGLE NOOK raced into a brief lead nearing the stretch turn, but tired.
