MISS PITTYPAT, racing in her best form and well handled, saved ground in the early stages, was steered out turning into the stretch and, continuing with strong energy under mild urging, drew clear in the final sixteenth. LITTLE HIG, never a great distance back and forced to race slightly wide to secure clear iacing room in the final quarter, finished strongly. BRILLIANT STONE, hustled from the start, shook off LOPAZ turning into the stretch and continued gamely under strong pressure, but was not good enough. WALTER L., hustled from the start and racing on the outside throughout, tired in the final stages. LOPAZ forced the pace from the start, but faltered in the final quarter. JUDGE LEER, under pressure, could not reach the leaders. The others were never prominent. SECOND RACE 3-4 MELE Out of Chute. CRULIA, racing fonvardly and on the inside the entire trip, responded to strong pressure approaching the finish, wore down LAUREL WREATH inside the final sixteenth and was ready to draw clear. LAUREL WREATH moved into command with a rush, was placed under increased urging in the late stages, but could not hold off the winner. OXFORD LAD raced between horses when improving his position and finished strongly. MARLIE MAY, under mild restraint and saving ground, was steered out slightly in the drive, but could not reach the leaders under pressure. GOSHEN, prominent from the start but in close quarters turning into the stretch, failed to respond when clear. VALDINA closed strongly. BUNTINGON was used up setting the pace. MOUNTKALA was through after three-eighths. ALMA MAE made a bold bid turning into the stretch, but quit badly in the final strides. I SEE, followed the leaders in best stride on the outside to the final quarter, responded with strong energy through the final eighth and, under good handling, wore down BLIND STAR in the final strides. The latter moved around the leaders turning into the stretch, was placed under strong pressure in the final eighth, but was not good enough. LAKE SHORE lacked early speed, moved to the leaders with a belated rush turning into the stretch and, lucky to secure clear racing room in the final eighth, closed strongly. NOGALO forced the pace from the start, saved ground, but faltered in the drive. DOLLY E„ never a great distance back, failed to respond when called upon.
