W. HENDREX S FIRST WINNER COLLINSVILLE, 111., May 13.— Apprentice William Hendrex had the thi-ill that only comes once in a lifetime when he piloted to victory in the sixth race, Friday, J. H. Tates Ski for his initial winning mount. Hendrex, who rode his first mount on Tuesdav, May 9, when he was astride Phalamo in the second race, hails from Farmersville, Texas, and is 19 years of age. The lad scales at 101 pounds and is under contract to G. F. Jenkins and J. H. Tate.
