EASTERN STARS TO HOLLYWOOD LOS ANGELES, Calif., May 13— Jack MacKenzie, returning from a tour of the East, announced today that Alfred G. Van-derbilt, Mrs. Payne Whitney, and a dozen other nationally prominent racing strings will ship divisions of their strings to Hollywood Park for the meeting, which opens May 30. Heather Broom, third to Johnstown and Challedon in the Derby; Viscounty, Technician, Sceneshifter, Cravat, Heelfly, Impound, Old Rosebush, Alms, and other stars of the eastern turf, have been either definitely or tentatively promised for the Inglewood meeting. "From the way it looked to us, there will be more good horses in California than at any eastern track," the general manager said. "Kayak II., Specify, Whichcee, Gosum, Ligaroti, and other high-ranking horses."
