Picou Leav.es With DeMtiry Stable for Randall Park NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., June 28. Clarence Picou, the most sensational apprentice to hit New England in many years, will depart for Ohio the latter part of this week. The Texas youth, leading rider at the current Narragansett Park meeting with a total of 31 winners in 18 days, will next be seen in action at Randall Park. He is under contract to Felix DeMary and will accompany his employer, who will ship his string to Ohio. The veteran trainer Max Hirsch, who saddled Gasparilla in Saturdays Providence Stakes, observed Picou very closely on all his week-end mounts, commenting afterward that the youngster is "one of the very best apprentices I have ever seen."
