Garner to Ride Hooper Juvenile in Futurity ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 28. Jockey Willie Garner will be astride one of the Frederick W. Hooper two-year-olds in the 1948 renewal of the Arlington Futurity, according to announcement here this morning by trainer Ivan H. Parke. Garner also has been engaged by trainer H. H. "Pete" Battle to handle one of the Mrs. E. E. Dale Shaffer starters in the forthcoming Modesty Stakes on Saturday. The veteran reinsman recently rode Miss Mommy to a clever victory in the Princess Doreen Stakes for the Shaffer establishment. The Futurity will be decided here on July 17 and is expected to gross over 0,000.
