Coaltown to Be Calumet Starter in Skokie Handicap ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 28. Horace A. "Jimmy" Jones today stated that Coaltown will carry the Calumet Farms colors in the six-furlong 0,-000 Skokie Handicap, on Thursday. Citation, who is also eligible for the event, will remain inactive. Jones also said that the stable may possibly run three horses in the 5,000 Modesty Stakes on Saturday. He was well pleased with Whirl Somes race here Saturday and she is intended as a starter. Whirl Some finished third to Phar Mon and Mel Hash in her first race since last season, when she was regarded as one of the outstanding route-running juvenile filliles in the country. Bewitch is going along steadily and is regarded as a starter and In the Pink is another who may carry the Calumet banner. Citation also is e 1 i g i b 1 e for the 0,000 Stars and Stripes Handicap. Jones will determine the colts status as a starter in that mile and one-eighth event, scheduled for next Monday, after close scrutiny of the weights.
