Brooks to Ride Ky. Colonel ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, HI., June 28. Jockey Steve Brooks is to have the mount on Joseph A. Goodwins homebred Balladier colt, Ky. Colonel, in the forthcoming Primer Stakes. Brooks rode Ky. Colonel to victory in the 1948 renewal of the Bashford Manor Stakes at Churchill Downs and was astride the Goodwin juvenile when the latter dead-Jheated with Frederick W. Hoopers Olympia for major honors in the Joliet Stakes during the Lincoln Fields meeting.
