Better Sophomores in Select MONMOUTH PARK, Ocearfport. N. J., June 28. Wednesdays inaugural running of the 0;000 Select Handicap is attracting some of the better sophomores along the eastern seaboard. The three-year-old event is at six furlongs and among those en route to fill their engagements are Walter Jeffords Frenchtown, Lester Manor Stables Fugit, Maine Chance Farms Royal Blood and Llangollen Farms Singing Step. The Select Handicap is being renewed this season for the first time since 1893.
