Urinalysis of Silver Kite Reveals Presence of Drug NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., June 228. On the report of the Rhode Island state chemist that an analysis of the urine taken from Silver Kite, winner of the second race, June 16, was found to contain benzedrine, trainer C. A. Welch is hereby suspended along with the horses Kentucky Son, Carolina Rebel and Silver Kite and his case referred to the Rhode Island State Racing Commission for whatever action they deem proper. A re-distribution of the purse won by Silver Kite in the second race, Wednesday, June 16, 1948, is hereby ordered: first money to Respire; second money to Wa-mego; third money to Latimer, and fourth money to Don Miller.
