New Jersey Notes GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 26. Jockey Eddie Campbell, a capable veteran who weighs in at 105 pounds, was an addition to the local colors of riders. Campbell announced that he has given *first call on his services for the meeting to trainer Henry Little. J. B. Bond recalled the following horses from Maryland to join the main division of his stable here: Mystagogue, Gallant Jake, and Hypolis. Trainer A. McCarthy his morning returned to his farm in Monk-ton, Md., with all of his charges, Mondaval, Perry Wink, Listen Lover and Israfel. Trainer Charles Shaw, Jr., last week divided the large stable under his direction for the Cedar Farm, and sent nine of his charges to Delaware Park to await the beginning of that meeting on May 29. , Veteran jockey Johnnie Deering, whos been out of action in recent months, checked in at Garden State Monday to return to the racing wars. The long-time campaigner hopes to get back into-the riding limelight before the Camden oval closes its spring meeting on Memorial Day. W. E. Charles, secretary-treasurer of the New Jersey division of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association, was the recipient of a citation from the Damon Runyan Cancer Fund. President Walter Winchell handed him the citation for his exceptional work done in the funds behalf. Trainer J. W. Sceusa, who had the misfortune of claiming Miss Blarney in the interest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Selmi when she broke down in a race here last week, has sent the mare to the farm to be turned out. Loridale, Arthur H. Warners good three-year-old colt, had little chance to enjoy his first visit to Garden State Park. The recent victor of the John Alden Handicap at Suffolk Downs checked in here with Warners Da Da only about 10 days ago. Without entering either of his charges to race here, Warner yesterday morning returned with his two-horse stable to the New Eng-lan track. Trainer Arthur H. "Frenchy" Bowen, announced this morning that he has taken jockey Joe Wagner under his employ for the remainder of this meeting. Bowen trains a useful stable for James C. OHara, of Freehold, N. J. Trainer E. W. King brought back from Pimlico today the performers Billie, Fighting Mad, Rocklye and Blazing. He also brought in Sweet Taters from the farm as a replacement for Beach Boy, who is being turned out. Monmouth Park stakes book are currently being distributed in the local racing secretarys office. The Monmouth Park Jockey Club will this year operate for 46 racing days, June 16 through August 8, during which time 15 stakes will be renewed. Nominations for all of the stake events will be closed on June 1. 1
