Pondfield Reports Various Improvements at Randall Park DETROIT, Mich., May 26.— Louis Pond-field, general manager at Randall Park, Cleveland, accompanied1 by Mrs. Pondfield, is taking in the sport here. He has been circulating among the horsemen to interest them in the forthcoming meet at the Cleveland course which opens July 27 and runs for 44 days until September 15. Pondfield brings glowing reports of the many improvements in process and others already completed. The new infield turf course has been graded -and sown, the entire infield landscaped with fresh water lakes and colorful shrubs. Eight new concrete block barns have been Constructed along with tack rooms to provide facilities for 300 additional horses. Pondfield reports that Saul Silberman, president, and Gil Haus, racing secretary, are enthusiastic about the coming season. Turfmens response particularly to the stakes is encouraging.
