SIAMESE saved ground early to gain a position near the leader, was steered to the outside when roused, drifted out through the stretch, but was good enough to outfinish JOLLY IRISH. The latter was sent into command at once, set the pace under steadying restraint and had something left when challenged. RED TAG rallied in the late Stages. HARSAM made a game bid through the stretch. RATON, on the outside, was unable to threaten when put to pressure. ETTENAN S. weakened after showing speed. CAN LOCATE, quickest to begin, gave way to ORBIT before a quarter mile, remained close up and moved into command before entering the stretch, drew clear quickly and was under light pressure to the end. TOOTSIE McCABE raced close to the pace and finished willingly. FIESTA worked her way up gradually on the outside. FROZEN CUSTARD made a game bid in the stretch, then faltered. GAMS had no mishap. SHAKO was unable to improve position under early urging. THIRD DIVISION was in close quarters early. SKYLIGHTER lacked early speed. SENATOR C. showed nothing. ORBIT quit badly. DYNASTIC broke alertly, moved quickly to stay with the early pace, came wide entering the stretch, assumed command and drew out easily. NOLA HASH was energetically handled from the start and showed a good effort. ALL RICHER showed good early speed, saved ground but was not good enough. IM SANDY had to come around horses from off the pace and closed willingly. NOME was unable to keep up. CAPTAIN ARDEN broke quickly, set the early pace, then weakened. HATTER WAR was never prominent. ROY broke alertly, dropped far off the pace in the first quarter mile, began working his way up on the inside nearing the far turn, came to the outside of the leader in the stretch and was drawing away at the end. EQUIHAZE raced close to the pace, assumed command entering the stretch and continued on gamely. LUCHADOR came around horses to challenge in the stretch, but was not good enough. SPEEDY BABY showed good early speed. NEWSWEEKLY flattened out badly. BLUE THANKS lacked early speed. CHARLESTON broke alertly, was placed under light restraint and eased to the outside for the run down the backstretch, responded strongly when placed under a drive, gained a clear lead in the stretch and was kept going long enough to hold TILENNY safe. The latter, in hand while kept within striking distance of the pace, was forced to take the outside route while making up ground and was catching the winner. ALL AT ONCE drew clear soon after the beginning, was well rated while establishing the pace and held on stubbornly. SEDGEVIEW, in hand while saving ground early, was forced to take to the outside when roused and, although making up ground, was not good enough. BRICK raced close to the pace, but lacked a closing rally. REGAL moved between horses on the turn, but was unable to menace. SCIPIO lost ground in the late stages. ALGASIR flattened out. TEANECK FLASH moved up along the rail to be near the leader for a half mile, then flattened out. SOCIAL SIDE, forwardly placed on the outside, responded guickly when roused, assumed command and drew out under pressure. JALOPEE, outrun to the final turn, closed with a belated rush along the rail.
