Louis, Savold Sign Contracts For June 13 New York Fight NEW YORK, N. Y., May 26 UP.— Joe Louis and Lee Savold signed commission-form contracts today for their 15 -round fight at the Polo Grounds, June 13. Louis, ex-heavyweight champion, left shortly after the ceremony to open camp at Pompton Lakes, N. J., where he will begin boxing tomorrow. Blond Savold of Englewood, N. J., drove to South Fallsburg, N. Y., where he also will, begin boxing tomorrow. Louis said he expected to weigh 210 pounds for the fight. Savold planned to scale 190. Louis picked Ezzard Charles to keep his heavyweight crown Wednesday at Chicago in his fight against light-heavyweight champion Joey Maxim but Savold said Maxim has a very good chance to score an upset. Savold made no outright pick.
