ALTO, slow to settle into stride, was nicely handled and fortunate while moving through along the inside rounding tffi turn, then drew clear under pressure. BALLINAKILL raced CHAFFEE-DEE into defeat, then gave way and again came back lame. CHAFFEE-DEE showed, high speed and held on better than usual. GAY BEAUTY raced forwardly throughout" but was not good enough. BROAD CROSS made up ground in the late stages. COMELY BELLE closed willingly after being knocked back or, the turn. CARMAGNOLE flattened out after a half mile. MYSTIQUE HORDE was never a serious threat. TWO 0 FOUR ran off and unseated his rider early and snowed nothing in the running. RAZZOO attained command immediately, drew clear rapidly cn the turn and won- with speed to spare. CHERUB raced in the runner-up spot from the start, but was no match. HOOS ABBE made up ground steadily, but was beaten off. ROCK VINCENT responded well to the stretch, then was taken up sharply while lugging in. PHARAPOISE dropped far back early and failed to reach prominence. MARCH AGAIN lacked room along the inside while apparently ready to rally in the early stretch. BILLY BRECHT could not keep up. HAPPY PAPPY, under steadying restraint while in close attendance to the pace, was nicely handled when roused and responded gamely to gain the decison over IN FIRST. The latter was rated while setting the pace- and held on tenaciously in the final test. NEREID was under restraint early and closed with good energy. FIXED STAR, steadied early, was _ taken up and sent outside leaving the backstretch, but failed to resoond. LITTLE ROCKET rallied only mildly. FLAMING LADY was through early.
