Undefeated Linaro Tass -Out to Extend Record Riegles Colt Never Headed in Two Starts at Aurora Course AURORA DOWNS, Aurora, HI., May 26. — Linaro Tass, Roy Riegles unbeaten two-year-old trotting colt, will seek to retain his unblemished record in the Kankakee Stake Trot at Aurora Downs Monday night. In two starts this meeting, the two-year-old Prudential — Honey Crisp colt has never fifth post position and made every pole a winning one in 2:20%. He came back against a more seasoned group of "youngsters" on May 23 and repeated his win performance in 2:17. His Jatest trip was even more impressive, as Roy Riegle had to get his colt away from the outside post positoin. However, Linaro Tass so outclassed the field that it appeared as though Riegle simply jogged his colt. His margin of victory1 was an amazing 14 lengths. Monday Linaro Tass faces four untested trotters in Shorty De Ponti, Dutch Parlay, Lady of Paris and Attorney Todd. The rest of the field is rounded out with trotters who have started at this meeting but have yet to enter the winners circle. They are Star Mona, Pala M. and Royal Mary. Linaro Tass drew to the outside for the first trip, but moved out from the three spot in the second trip. Delmar Inskos Attorney Todd drew the pole for the second trip while newcomer Shorty De Ponti got the pole for the initial mile. The two-year-old event is slated to go postward as the first and third races of the program. Four other new horses will be making 1951 debuts at Aurora Monday night. Duplicate, with a second under his belt at Toledo, gets his first midwestern start in the second. Red Scott starts Merry Copper in the third, Delmar Insko makes his bow with Delmar Direct in the sixth, while Gene Riegle gets Toff started in the seventh.
