MISS LYRIC dropped back immediately after the start, then made up ground through the final quarter mile. DOUBLE ECHO rallied well to outfinish the ethers. SCOTCH ROCKS was taken up sharply on the turn. SUNTIGER could not keep up. SAUCY PLAY showed nothing. ETERNAL LIGHT weakened after displaying brief speed. SPUR HENRY quit when outrun fcr the early lead. MEADOW PASS broke tardily and showed nothing. BLACK PEPPER, a trailer during the early stages, was well handled while improving his position and responded to continued pressure to wear down FIRST SALVO. The latter attained a clear lead in the early stretch and gave way. WHITE BONES reached prominence on the turn, but lacked a closing rally. MOMS CHOICE, outrun early, made up ground in the late stages FREE AND EQUAL dueled for the lead and faltered. GNU closed with a belated rally. LARRY DOOLEY lacked sufficient room along the inside. HYOPOLIS could not keep up. ETERNAL DANGER displayed speed and quit, as did GERTIES LAST and BALLINAKILL. MY GOOD MAN could not threaten the winner while turning in a fair effort. HAMPTON ROADS raced forwardly, but weakened after a mile and bobbled at the eleventh fence. UMS, within striking distance through the first mile, faltered badly. ERROLFORD trailed early and unseated his rider at the fifth fence. PROCEED fell at the fourth fence. The latter rallied nicely from the quarter pole, but was unable to wear down the top one. LITTLE HARP, away tardily, saved ground to threaten, then faltered. The latter, a factor from the beginning, was unable to wear down the winner while rallying late. RECLUSE set the pace to the stretch and weakened. NORTHMAN II. saved ground to no avail. SHE WOLF dropped far out of contention and caught only tired horses. ERNIE 0. weakened badly. BATTERSEA BOX showed nothing. LUCY BELLE was crowded early. PADDOCK GOLD showed speed to the turn, was taken up sharply and apparently slightly injured while trying to get out, then was eased leaving the backstretch. PADDOCK ACRES, unhurried during the first six furlongs, saved ground while moving well through the final stages and wore down PINE VISION. The latter, in a precarious positino along the inside much of the distance, drove through to assume command entering the stretch, then gave way while moving out slightly. BLESSETTE set the pace and, after permitting two horses to move through, gave way in the late stages. MATTIE GIRL weakened only slightly. LILLIAN CLARKE raced forwardly, but weakened.
