GAMS, reserved close to the pace until the stretch, responded readily when sent up on outside, gained command and drew out under intermittent urging. A. LADY improved position gradually and closed with good energy. VALC0EUR AIME forced the pace under light restraint, assumed brief command, then faltered. MAID OF KENT closed well along the inside. SOCIAL SIDE had no mishap. BREEZY BLUE flashed good speed for a naif mile before tiring. TILLERETTE was never prominent. DUBBLELL was used up forcing the early pace. EYEFUL STAR showed nothing. LORD GRAIL worked his way up between horses while under stout restraint, was steered to the outside entering the stretch, assumed command without excessive urging and won easily. BEDA BULL forced the pace, held on tenaciously, but was no match for the winner. THIS FAR rrrproved position along the rail. DEBMODE broke alertly, was taken back and steadied, then lacked a dosing rally. RISSAS SON established the pace to the final furlong, then tired. MONKROSE went evenly. NAVAREZ tired. CLAYS CHOICE, sluggish leaving. the gate, rushed boldly to overtake the leader after entering the stretch and drew clear under urging. SILVER LAMEE broke alertly, opened a comfortable lead, came out slightly on the final turn and tired. RISSAN, forwardly placed along the inside, held on gamely. GLADE WELL weakened after maintaining a forward position to the stretch INTERFERE had no mishap. BRILLIANT MAID broke alertly, but was unable to remain with the leaders. WHISKEY JOHN, in close quarters on the far turn, came to the inside when clear, but was unable to make up appreciable ground. THREADSIGN showed nothing. FRANKFORT KING and MERRY NOTES were outrun. The latter improved his position gradually and was pressing in the final stages. FIREWOOD saved ground while outrun in the early stages, drove between •*■ horses, but was unable to menace. CHALL WIND forced the pace, assumed brief command, then faltered. ALTHOR passed tiring horses. BILLY BOWLEGS was in close quarters entering the stretch. CROSS END established the pace to the stretch before tiring. STAR PRINCE was unable to reach serious contention under intermittent urging. FIORENTINA quit after racing with the early pace. LAMBENT, steadied for five furlongs, worked his way up along the inside, swung to the outside entering the stretch, was brushed passing DE LUXE, but continued on gamely and forged to the front near the end. DE LUXE was in hand while being kept in closest attendance of the pace, rallied to reach the leader, drifted cut. but responded to urging and was pressing to the end. REGAL sprinted into a long lead soon after the start, was steadied while skirting the inner rail and had nothing left when challenged. TILENNY had no mishap. STAR OF DUBLIN, roused early to remain close to the pace, rallied when set down and withstood a sustained drive to outfinish BENJOMIKE. The latter worked his way up on the outside to gain command in the stretch, but only to falter at the end. ALAS, came to the outside on the turn, swung to the inside in the .stretch and closed resolutely. SEEMLY, a forward factor from the outset, la.cked a late rally. GIRDER dropped back early, was roused leaving the backstretch, was crowded back on the turn and then closed willingly on the extreme outsTde. SKEIN sprinted into a comfortable lead early, shortened stride and had nothing left at the end.
