OATBURNER, fastest away, was taken clear and steadied in front, saved ground and lasted under pressure to hold WHIZ-A-BIT. The latter, never far back and on the outside, closed with good speed and was wearing down the winner while attempting to bear in. BRIDGE, a strong contender from the beginning, drove between horses in the stretch and finished well while in close quarters near the end. TIP OFF raced in close pursuit of the winner all the way and held on well. MR. L. R. raced evenly, but could not improve his position. YDEAR weakened slightly after racing prominently all the way. TOWN SHEIK was steadied back of ♦he early leaders, but responded well when roused to move around the outside through the stretch and closed fast. LIABILITY, a stout contender from-the beginning, moved into a short lead in the stretch and fought it out willingly with the winner. TRICK FLIER, prominent from the beginning while on the outside, made a stout bid in the stretch and continued gamely In a good effort. RUTH MURPHY was sent into command immediately after the start and was rated in front, saved ground and held on well. GINGERBREAD reached contention steadily and was going well at the end. FRESH had some early speed, but could not keep up. FUSE BOX gave way gradually after showing some early speed. BROWN LLAMA had speed from the beginning and took command leaving the backstretch, drew clear, saved ground, but was under mild pressure to the end. OUR BEAUTY, shuffled back at the break, reached closer contention quickly, secured room on the inside to save ground and finished boldly. JACFER raced in closest pursuit of the winner most of the way, but could not get up. SCAT TOM was going well at the end. TRIPPER had some early speed, but was forced to race wide. PUBLICK raced forwardly, but could not engage the leaders. STALLER had brief early speed. HERES JACK could not keep up. ASTRO, sluggish early while far back, went to the outside entering the stretch, finished well, but was no match for the winner. 1.IBBA showed good speed to race with the early pace, but gave way when challenged. AVARICIOUS was hustled to the front and steadied there, saved ground, but could not resist the winner. WAR ANTIQUE trailed the field until reaching the turn, moved up quickly and was going well at the end. HUDGENS raced forwardly and made a strong bid in the stretch, but weakened. SIGNAL CODE was a stout factor from the beginning while racing under restraint, secured room on the inside to drive to the front in the late stretch while in close quarters, and was drawing clear at the end. MASTER MIND was reserved close to the pace, moved up readily en the outside in the stretch, bore in badly bothering MR. BAM and MAHPLAY and continued well. He was disqualified and placed fourth. MR. BAM was a stout contender from the beginning, made a determined bid between horses in the stretch, was bothered by MASTER MIND and taken up, then came on again. MAHPLAY set the pace into the stretch, was caught in close quarters and had to be taken up. BASHFUL SUN had early speed. The others were not prominent. TWO AND SIX reached closer contention after a half mile, was taken to the outside entering the stretch, then closed well, but was no match for the winner. KATHLEEN R was rated closest to the early pace of NEB JR., saved ground and held on well. NEB JR. was sent into a clear lead, saved ground, but weakened in the final furlong.
