OFF AT 3:46* EASTERN STANDARD TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won easily; second and third driving. DUSTLIGHT, a sharp factor from the start, disposed of M0NFAL0N when ready, gradually improved position thereafter and won with speed in reserve. DANADA RED, never far back, made a good bid nearing the stretch, but was unable to reach the top one when set down in the drive. FLARES DURBAR moved up fast entering the stretch, but faltered during the final furlong. BOY-PLIN began sluggishly and was never prominent. MONFALON failed to stay after showing early speed. RESORT raced wide during the last three-eighths. SUGAR BEET had no mishap. GRAND RIVER was through early. FIGHTING JOHN raced evenly to the stretch, saved ground at the final turn when the leaders went wide, then held on willingly and lasted to withstand BUBBINS. The latter, away fast and a sharp factor from the outset, drifted out at the stretch turn, then closed fast, but could not overtake the winner. COMEALLYE, away slowly and outrun to the stretch, finished fast on the extreme outside. AUGUST went to the front earlv, made the pace to the stretch, but bore out badly thereafter while tiring. DATE BOOK tired in the heavy track. LUCKY DOG was outrun. ONE PLAY was never dangerous. PILOT MAN engaged AUGUST for a half mile, then gave way. Scratched— 27783 Perfidy, 115; 319612 Actnice, 110. KEYMAR went to the front at the beginning, engaged HENRYS FIRST throughout and held the latter safe when hard ridden through the stretch. HENRYS FIRST, a sharp factor from the beginning, was in the deepest going during the last three-eighths, finished strongly, but could not overtake the top one. LITTLE DONOR, away poorly, gradually made up ground after the break, but could not get to the leaders when set down through the stretch. BONUS BOY was never dangerous. Start good from stall gate. Won easily; second and third driving. FRERE JACQUES saved ground while improving position to the stretch, assumed command after racing by SWEET REWARD and won going away. SWEET REWARD went to the front at cnce, made the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, continued resolutely when set down in the drive, but could not hold the winner, although much the best of the others. COUNTRY EDITOR tired after racing prominently to the stretch. OMITTED raced wide the entire trip. PILOGY disliked the heavy track. DONNADOON was through early. FIFTH RACE 1 MILE. ETHEREAL began alertly, came over sharply on BLEMISH at the first turn, then raced by MAD AGAIN, opened a good lead entering the stretch, but was vigorously ridden during the drive to hold LITTLE DANNY safe. The latter, in hand to the last three-eighths, closed fast under punishment, but could not get to the winner. BLEMISH, forced to take up sharply when impeded by ETHEREAL at the initial turn, went wide entering the stretch, but finished strongly under brisk handling. GENIAL JACK lacked early speed and disliked the heavy going. BUSY FARMER was outrun. MAD AGAIN gave way after racing well until inside the stretch. GRANDE MONDE disliked the heavy track. URGENT, much the best, reared at the break, steadily improved position when on stride ana, saving ground during the last three eighths, disposed of the leaders to win going away BORN TO WIN was sent to the front early, neld a short lead when settled for the drive but was unable to withstand the winner, although easily best of the others. TREADA BOY lacked early speed but made up ground during the final quarter mile. CHIC BIT raced prominently to the last eighth, then weakened WISENHEIMER tired during the drive. HOT CHOCOLATE had early foot but could not handle the heavy track and tired badly after a half mile. SLIPPER SATIN was never a serious factor.
