| Holiday Event Closes Monday DETROIT, Mich., June 28. — Racing secretary Charles McLennan called attention ot turfmen to the closing of entries Monday, July 2, for the 0,000 Independ- ence Day Handicap. Three-year-olds and j older are eligible to the one mile and one-sixteenth holiday feature and McLennan will post weights for the middle distance attraction on Tuesday, July 3.
