Reds Sign Bonus Pitcher CINCINNATI, Ohio, May 23 UP. The Cincinnati Baseball Club today announced that its Salisbury, Md., club in the Inter-State League has signed pitcher Herman Heddrick, Canisius College player, from Erie, Pa. The Cincinnati office said that scout Dutch Dotterer paid Heddrick, who stands six feet, five inches and weighs 190 pounds, a sizable bonus in outbidding seven other clubs that sought the right-handed pitcher.
