V Inseparable May Be Main Reliance of Hasty House Will Go in Saturdays Fleming, : After Being Scratched Yesterday j HAWTHORNE, Cicero, HI., May 22. Al- ; though trainer Harry Trotsek has four 1 Hasty House Farm horses eligible for next Saturdays six and one-half furlong Edward J. Fleming Memorial Handicap, it appears likely that the seven-year-old gelding, Inseparable, may be the main reliance of the Toledo-owned stable for Lincoln Fields 0,000 week-end attraction here at Hawthorne. Inseparable was scratched from Thursdays six furlong Evergold Purse, leaving that, assignment, to his recently acquired stablemate, Rune. The latter also is a nominee for the Fleming, along with Inseparable, Seaward, and Roman Bath from the Hasty House establishment. Either Seaward or Roman Bath might go with Inseparable in the Fleming. Roman Bath finished second to his retired stablemate, Wine List, in the same event last year. Racing secretary Larry Bogenschutz anticipates a field of 10 or 11 horses for this renewal of the Fleming, which is named in honor of the late president of the Lincoln Fields Racing Association. Regarded as probable starters are Aarons and Hokins fast colt, Andy B, W., whose only start this year was in the Crete Handicap on opening day in which he finished unplaced after forcing the early pace; Mikel Farms Illinois-bred. False, winner of the Crete; R. R. I Thomas Joe Graves, second in the Crete; jW. H. Bishops Tattenham; Mrs. H. G, Bockmans greatly improved Mail From Home; Lucian Knight, Jr.s three-year-old Baybrook, also a candidate for the 5,000 Peabody Memorial; B. W. Landys Spur Onr winner of the Steger Handicap last Saturday; Clifford Mooers Quihi and perhaps C. W. Winters three-year-old filly, Whirla Lea, also -a Peabody nominee. . Trainer Howard Wells has four eligible for the Fleming. One of these, J. S. Bradleys Sun David, went in the Evergold Purse today, as did Red Top Farms Stop Gap and Sam E. Wilson, Jr.s Air Mail, who are also nominees for the Fleming. Wells is expected to start L. W, Roush and H. R. Reids four-year-old Bloody Step in the Fleming, and may also run M. A. and Roy 1 Saffirs Dr. Ole Nelson, like Seaward, a former winner of the Hawthorne Gold Cup. Wells also nominated Walmac Farms Volcanic, but the big fellow is a doubtful starter. If he does go he will have top weight of the Fleming field, 119 pounds. Trainer Phil Reuter has N. G. Bouchards Fair Appraisal and Prince of Roriston among the Fleming nominees and may start one of them. Dunn and Kirkpatricka greatly improved Roman Sandal is another Fleming nominee who may go. He escaped uninjured in the tragic collision of his van and four big trucks near Chicago Heights yesterday morning in which two men were killed. Trainer Del Holeman believes Roman Sandal is none the worse as a result of the accident and he may run in the stake if his owners so decide when the entry box opens Friday morning.
