MANY GIFTS went to the front soon after the start and, well rated while leading HIGH -FLAVOR narrowly for half the distance drew away when ready and was not in danger in the last furlong. HIGH FLAVOR showed a fair turn of speed in racing closest to the winner, but was not good enough, although far better than the others. AURORA DEB improved her position after going a quarter. BIG QUESTION failed to offer much contention. BAMBI LYNNE responded well when put to pressure m the stretch. DELHANNAH was weakening at the end. FINE FETTLE made up ground after having been of poor y. WEEP NO MORE and WOODSIDE were off badly. MAGNUS was forced to race very wide in the stretch. FASHIONED had speed for a half mile, then quit to almost a walk and was beaten off at the end . VICKI DIANA went to the front at the start and drew out to gain such an advantage after turning for home that her rider displayed enough confidence to look around, but she turned unexpectedly in the last sixteenth, however, and was all out to win. DUCHESS-EV dropped to last place early, but finished full of run on the inside and was gaining rapidly. KAYES GOODS moved between horses in the stretch to finish well. BESSEMER raced on the outside. FAMOUS CORNER, as usual, dropped far out of it in the early running, then closed rapidly on the inside when called upon after going half the distance and, getting through a wide opening in the stretch, took a short lead nearing the end, but was doing his best. FOX LAIR, well up from the start, contested the issue stubbornly while racing in the middle of the track and staged a good finish. SAND FLY headed JOHN BAUER when ready, but was not good enough for the first two, although much the best of the others. BERNROUGH was never a serious contender. JOHN BAUER tired. PARTICIPATION was a good contender for a quarter, then dropped back, but came fairly well near the end and had too much power for POLNETTIE. HARBIL was close enough early, dropped back after going a half, came again in the stretch and was best of the others. MISS CANASTA was in closest pursuit of the winner most of the way, but failed to move in impressive fashion. KING DIVER failed to offer contention. TICKER TAPE turned in a weak effort in the going. SHANE went in the air at the start and was outrun early, but made up ground steadily and, although racing very wide in the stretch, caught PSYCARY entering the last sixteenth and won under pressure. PSYCARY showed good early speed and battled it out with courage to the finish. HOBAD was, always well up In a creditable effort. MOON TRUMP made up some ground. FULTON MARKET tired badly.
