Dugan Named Secretary Of Kentucky Commission FRANKFORT, Ky., May 23. John F. Dugan, of Louisville, today was named secretary of the Kentucky State Racing Commission by Gov. Lawrence Wetherby. He succeeds Keene Dain-gerfield, of Lexington. Dugan has long been prominent in state Democratic party affairs, is secretary-treasurer of the Louisville Sinking Fund Commission, and was chief clerk of the 1950 Kentucky Senate. Daingerfield is a prominent steward at several Midwest tracks, serving currently at Beulah Park near Columbus, Ohio, and officiates in a similar capacity at Arlington and Washington Parks in Chicago, River Downs in Cincinnati, Ohio, Keeneland at Lexington, and the Fair Grounds in New Orleans. Daingerfield became racing commission secretary when Thomas R. Underwood resigned to enter Congress.
