BELTtlNO pressed the pace on the outside, took command rounding the turn, was shaken up when threatened in the stretch and won with something left. REINFORCE was forced to race slightly wide while with the first flight, loomed a dangerous contender in the stretch, but was no match for the top one. PALMER METHOD broke sluggishly, worked his way up between horses and closed willingly. BOOKWORM was shuffled back on the inside on the backstretch, rallied when clear and should improve off the outing. FREDDIE FISH lacked room on the turn. FLYING JET tired. PACOY was never prominent. SIGN HERE was on nearly even terms for command while on the outside, drew clear when hard punished in the stretch and lasted over APACHE TRAIL. The latter, probably best, took up when in close quarters nearing the turn, forged through on the rail when clear and was getting to the winner. BALAN was a sharp contender from the start and held on well in a good effort. INCHCAPELLA went between horses to make her bid and closed willingly. THISTLE JAY lacked room on the inside in the stretch and worked out a mile in 1:414/$. OUR GAY bullied her way between horses after a sluggish start and had nothing left for the drive. EL ARABI made a bad landing at the second fence, saved ground forwardly placed, took command on the final turn and won fully extended. AVONWOOD tried to leave the course and had to be taken up nearing the third fence, made up ground when righted and challenged for the lead, held on well, but was not good enough in the finish run. TOURELAY, allowed to drop back early, closed with good courage and came out of the race. sore. FIDDLERS CHOICE fenced poorly. EASTCELL ran out on the second turn. LADY FAIRFIELD went to the extreme outsioe on the first turn and ran wide on the second turn. FORBIDDEN C. made the pace until he fell at the sixth hurdle. GAME CHANCE had to be steadied while between the leaders nearing the turn, found room and quickly moved up to reach command, then drew clear in the final furlong. COUNTRY COZ came to the rail, lacked speed, came out for the drive and closed resolutely. BELFASTER was on the rail while dueling for command, was bothered in the stretch and faltered in the final sixteenth mile. TORCH OF WAR. unhurried early, closed well and should improve off the outing. MARCH TIGER, probably best, began to go wide midway of the turn and ran to the extreme outside leaving the turn, then closed impressively when straightened for the drive. UPSTROKE had no excuse. MR. RAES REWARD was steadied along while saving ground directly behind the leaders, came through on the rail entering the stretch, took command inside the furlong post and outgamed GIORGETTI. The latter outbroke his field at the start, swung slightly wide leaving the turn and was not good enough in the drive. ANCESTOR made a mild bid in the stretch and hung. COLOR GUARD broke poorly. BEGORRA, away slowly, bore out on the turn and drifted beyond the middle of the track through the drive. THIS SIDE pressed the pace for a half mile and tired. SIXTH RACE 1 1-8 MILES. SALAISE trailed in the opening half mile, saved ground while moving up and was best of tired horsej. HIGHQUILLO had no excuse.
