Michigan Notes DETROIT, Mich., June 17. Jack L. Grills, who has several horses quartered at the local course in charge of R. Harold Raines, came over from Toronto to inspect his charges and confer with trainer Raines. Another division of the Grills stable is quartered at Thorncliffe Park. Mrs. J. B. Floyd, of Louisville, arrived here today from the Falls City to witness the performance of Carrol Hart in the third race. Mrs. Floyd will remain here for the balance of this week. C. D. Glazer checked in from Chicago and registered Bubblestream, a four-year- old homebred gelding, the property of M. Follmar, Jr. Guy Tipton registered Skyward for George Wimberg and Cactus Jim, who is to race under his own colors. Willie Lee Johnson departed for Chicago Tuesday and he will handle Fiddle for the Mrs. E. E. Dale Shaffer stable in Arlington Parks Primer Stakes. Michigan Racing Association officials are making every effort to finish their programs at 6:30 p. m., despite the late 3:45 p. m. post time for the first race on week days. Horsemen are urged to bring their charges to the paddock when notified by word over the stable area loud speaker system.
