DINGHY improved position in the middle of the pack, moved to command entering the stretch, drifted wide through the final furlong and held GRAY CHIEF safe. He was disqualified for bothering GRAY CHIEF and placed second. The latter, reserved on the outside until the final quarter mile, moved on even terms and was forced wide all through the stretch. ANNA saved ground to better late position. If COMING caught tiring horses with a belated rush. BEHOLD held on well. FIREWOOD went evenly.- IRISH PRINCE saved ground to no avail. SNEAK, sore going before the race, broke slowly and lacked a rally when roused. ORBIT quit after a half mile. GREAT NECK went along with HATTER WAR for the lead soon after the start, turned back ROBERT KIRBY entering the stretch and drew out under intermittent urging. LADY FINN moved close to the pace after a half mile, but was unable to match strides with the winner. ROBERT KIRBY tired in the late stages. JUNIOR COUNSEL, unable to keep up early, moved to the outside losing ground on the turn and rallied mildly. HATTER WAR tired. HOOP JUDE had no mishap. BUDLANE went evenly. ETERNAL WAY worked his way up on the outside to engage the leaders inside the final furlong and edged DEBMODE in the last stride. DEBMODE, in close quarters to force the pace, assumed command after a half mile and held on stubbornly. FENEL0W closed with a belated rush on the extreme outside. SCHEMING WORLD moved on even terms for the lead in the stretch and faltered. HERESA DREAM closed ground in the late stages. BEST DEGREE, steadied on the final turn, lacked a closing rally. LUCKY DOG assumed command at once, was steadied when clear, rallied when roused, drifted out badly on the final turn impeding EXECUTION, responded to stout urging and drew clear near the end. DEEP DOWN rallied mildly, but was no match for the winner. DUST SCREEN caught tiring horses with a late rush. WATER KELPIE, in hand within striking distance of the pace, saved ground, but failed to respond under urging. EXECUTION, hustled to get within striking distance of the early lead, was moving around the leader when carried to the outside and knocked off stride NORTH CLARK showed speed for six furlongs. GOYONDER, slow to settle into best stride, moved rapidly when roused and was along to overtake the leader at the sixteenth pole and drew clear. MOLLIE FAGAN alternated in setting the pace and held on tenaciously. SO WELL showed good speed for a half mile and weakened. FLEET OF FOOT broke alertly, was unable to keep up and failed to make up ground under strong pressure through the stretch. MAN BAR lacked early speed. TRIGGER HAPPY quit. PALAJE was outrun. C. Stephens; bred by A. T. Simmons. WENT TO POST-5:06. OFF AT 5:07 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. BLUE MAN, never too far off the pace, began moving after six furlongs, picked up the leader without undue pressure, came out slightly rounding the final turn to take command and gradually drew clear under a steady hand ride. KING JOLIE, unhurried while forwardly placed, moved between horses after six furlongs, drew in closest attendance of the leader near the quarter pole, responded gamely to stout urging, but was no match for the winner. ROYAL MARVEL was sent along at a brisk stride to force the pace, held on gamely when the pressure began and was doing his best at the end. ARMAGEDDON took command after outrunning RISQUE ROUGE, cut over to the inside at the first turn, held sway under a snug hold for seven furlongs, continued on when put to pressure, weakening in the final furlong. RISQUE ROUGE was caught on the inside as the leader moved over at the first turn, failed to regain lost ground and was never formidable thereafter. ACADEMY AWARD was outrun. TOETOTOE, steadied within striking distance of the pace, rallied when sent up on the outside and outfinished FRIENDLY SANDS. The latter swung to the extreme outside for the drive, drew on even terms for the lead, but was not good enough. BEAU-BEAU went along close to the pace under light urging and had something left for the drive. SUN BUD outran the field to take command at the first turn, moved over to the inside and held sway for six furlongs before weakening. ROSE SCENE forced the pace, got the lead in the stretch, then faltered. ROYAL SCOT had no mishap. BY GONE DAYS was ridden close up most of the trip, then failed to respond to urging. ARIELS MARK improved position gradually until near the pace, responded gamely under a drive, but was not good enough. FOURTH JACK weakened after seven furlongs. MILAN BOY had no mishap.
