. i I New England Notes SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 17. H. W. Patrick of Chester, Pa., has joined the ranks of turf owners having purchased Phil G. and High Jackie at the Belmont sales. He has turned this pair over to trainer Jimmy OBrey and they will be raced during the remainder of the Suffolk Downs meeting. OBrey acquired Offend from the sales and she will run in the silks of Mrs. OBrey. Victor Posner, of Baltimore, Maryland, has purchased Stroll from Mrs. J. OBrey at private terms. Jim OBrey will continue to train the six-year-old Purple Knight mare. E. P. Rodriguez, New Orleans owner of the Yankee Handicap candidate, Academy Award, arrived from the Crescent City this morning accompanied by Drs. Landry and Karstendiek. They plan to remain here for the balance of the week. Anthony J. Ryan, owner and trainer of Oakhurst Farm, reported the arrival of the Irish-breds, Julika and Hornspeck.
