Sedgman tp Defend U.S. Title MELBOURNE, Australia, June 17 UP. — Frank Sedgman will defend his American singles title this summer, the Australian Lawn Tennis Association announced today. Australias tennis team will return from Wimbledon via the U.S., but it must leave America immediately after the U.S. singles championship, the ALTA added.
