QUICK IMPERIAL was hustled along in closest pursuit of FIGHTING HARP, obtained a clear lead when that one faltered in the drive and held ELFKIN safe under urging. ELFKIN began sluggishly, came out from the rail for clear passage entering the stretch and closed with a rush. FIGHTING HARP alertly opened a clear lead, easily held sway into the last furlong and flattened out. AMYLAMINE saved ground in an even effort. HELICON weakened under punishment. PISGAH ROAD had the most speed from the beginning, shook off a chalenge from CURTAIN TIME on the stretch turn and increased his advantage while going handily. CURTAIN TIME bore to the inside with a swift start and could not stay with the winner after being straightened, made a good bid on the final turn, but weakened. CREW-CUT was on the inside and racing behind horses, came out slightly for the drive and finished well. BLUE FEDORA lacked early speed, was taken to the middle of the track for the final run and closed belatedly. SHERRY was forced back by CURTAIN TIME after the break, lacked clear racing room at the far turn and weakened. CURRENT NEWS faltered WAR SAN tired. Scratched— 605152 Dik Oik, 117. WHITE CLIFF broke fastest, gave way to DONT ARGUE on the turn, but responded resolutely to strong hustling in the stretch drive and narrowly bested the opposition. GAME GENE saved ground close behind the first flight, came between horses in the final stages and finished determinedly. ISASMOOTHIE raced along prominently placed on the outside, hung changing stride entering the stretch, then drifted slightly wide closing in the drive and could not get up. AGRARIAN-U showed in front at the start, quickly established a clear lead, set an even pace and determinedly held DAYLIGHT TIME safe. The latter, unable to contend early, moved up fast between horses on the final turn, came to the outside for the drive and finished gamely. RISSAS SON raced in closest attendance to the pace, failed to gain when roused for the stretch drive, but finished well. TOREADOR, outrun to the stretch, came around horses and closed with late courage. FLYING WEATHER raced closer to the pace than usual, appeared dangerous in the early stretch and suddenly faltered. BOMBAZINE was never far back and made a bold bid midway of the final turn, then weakened. PORT WINDSOR tired. SIG began sluggishly. WHISK-OFF dashed into a long early lead, gave way to the winner on the stretch turn, but then was strongly ridden and held on gamely. HIGH TREND swerved and had to be taken back at the start, gained a prominent position early, but lacked a rally for the drive. PLATOON was well placed, but could not get up when urged.
