TIMEIN was mildly urged tc outsprint early opposition, saved ground and responded gamely to repulse a strong bid from AIRTROOP at the head of the stretch to win going away. AIRTROOP was rated within striking distance, loomed boldly entering the stretch, but hung under punishment. TINY ADMIRAL never was far back, but could not threaten the top pair. D0MAGE outbroke the field, easily shook off THE POSSE after three furlongs and, while relishing the going, drew out with speed in reserve. SOUTH POINT was forwardly placed, dropped back slightly on the final turn and came to the outside of horses, then closed gamely to be second. THE POSSE could not match speed with the winner, drifted out on the turn and weakened. JET JOY saved ground and gave a good effort. BRADLEY lacked speed away from the gate and apparently did not like the going. COL. KIMBLE could not keep up. HEREDITY was bumped back by SKIPPER BILL at the start. SKIPPER BILL stumbled and almost fell at the break, losing all chance. LITTLE HERMAN WAS FRACTIOUS, REARED OVER BACKWARD IN THE GATE AND WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN. FLAMENCO was intermittently taken in hand when threatened with close quarters trying to come through on the inside of COURSE NORTH, found ample room when the latter came wide on the stretch turn and, after taking command, was decisively best. COURSE NORTH had the early speed, raced slightly wide entering the stretch, then was carried out in the stretch drive and hung. PEARL DIVER was no match for the top pair. SARAMULI weakened. BASES LOADED shook off MOTORIST and opened a clear lead after three furlongs, saved all possible ground and, responding gamely to punishment, repulsed REFUN midstretch and drew clear. REFUN steadily raced into closer contention on the outside and drew abreast the winner at the furlong pole, then hung despite vigorous punishment. LANCER always was a forward factor, but lacked a closing rally. DR. CRICKET was closer to the pace than usual, but failed to gain at the end. HIYA-SAILOR floundered in the going early and was far back, then made up ground after a half mile, but was not a threat. MISS DOW was not a threat. MOTORIST quit. SAND RUN was hard pressed to reach contention after a bad start and faltered. Scratched— 606734 Busy Evening, 110; 60673 Prefect.. 120. Overweight — Miss Dow, 1 pound. Hi-Ya Sailor claimed by H.
