The latter was always formidable and fought it out willingly. FLOCO closed with a bold rally. ETERNAL SQUARE loomed as a threat from the inside entering the stretch and lacked a late surge. LETS DANCE rallied well after being far back. MAKE HAY faltered when outrun for the early lead. GENTLE STAR hobbled several times and could not stay with the top pair. V. I. P. CLEF dropped back after a mile and landed badly at the fourteenth fence. SEE MY WAY faltered after setting the pace into the stretch. SCIMITAR lacked sufficient rally. ABRACADABRA was sluggish early and failed to become a serious threat. LUNAR PARK turned in a dull race.
