One Hitter Works Fast Mile BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., June 23. — Greentree Stables One Hitter turned in a smashing mile trial on Belmonts main track this morning, getting the distance in 1:37V£ in handy style. The prep was the final serious work for the hard-hitting little son of Shut Out before his engagement in Saturdays Monmouth Handicap, mile and a quarter fixture at the New Jersey course. One Hitters work this morning was almost identical with the prep he put in six days before his brilliant triumph in the Suburban on Memorial Day. Since that victory, he finished third in the Massachusetts Handicap.
