Undone Has Eleven Sprint Rivals at Omaha Course j j i Bonnie Hill, Petes Beauty and | Snapheel Seen Threats in Race By J. SWEENEY GRANT Staff Correspondent • AK-SAR-BEN. Omaha, Nebr., June 23.— . ■ J. W. Coopers Undone, who has been close J i up in several of the handicaps presented • I thus far during the meeting, heads a group , | of 12- sprinters named to contest tomor- I I rows edition of the National Electrical j ] Contractors Purse. Notwithstanding his i i impressive performances in the recent [ j j assigned weight events, Undone will have . 3 to be at his best to turn back such rivals i as the Circle B. Ranchs Snapheel, A. N. | j Harley and Zach Hardys Rolling Time, W. j T. Roses First Bar, Edward Luthers Am- J ber Miss, W. C. Mountjoys Easy Red, I I W. T. Britts Passamonte; Mrs. J. S.I Phillips Onis Own, G. J. Shimas Clara D., j Mr. and Mrs. Irving Handelmans Bonnie Hill, the Loveland Stables Petes Beauty, ! | j and Equichall, owned by the combined to-j] terests of J. T. and J. R.Dillard. I Under the allowance conditions of the , J , six-furlong feature, Undone will be asked j to parade postward under the modest impost of 111 pounds. The Cooper racer fin- I j ished third to Auntie and Bolingcall in | Saturdays renewal of the ,000 J. E. i Davidson Memorial Handicap. On another I occasion he was defeated a narrow margin i J t by Royals Last in the Ak-Sar-Ben Prin- j I J cess Handicap. He won his first start of j | the meeting in which he defeated ,500 , j rivals very easily. Undone is a superior j " mud runner and he most likely would rule j , the pronounced choice should the track be I in any other than a fast condition tomor- j j , row. William Bazer probably will have I : the mount. j ■ Snapheel, Bonnie Hill, and Petes Beauty,! should prove most troublesome to Undone, j i ; Snapheel possesses a world of early speed and may forget to stop if properly rated. s Bonnie Hill has the necessary class to cope ? with tomorrows opponents. The Handel- J man racer was asked to traverse the ab-breviated five furlong distance last time. ! It proved too short for the five-year-old O daughter of Mormond Hill. Petes Beauty-finished second to the highly-regarded Ill I Be last time and again was in the runner-up position to take all in a sprint. Petes Beauty has two successes at the meeting j to her credit. c Dark horse of the field is the ever-dan- $ gerous Pasamonte. This three-year-old o j j i | . ■ J i • I , | I I ] j i i [ j . 3 i | j gelded progeny of By Jimminy and Cottage Cheese found a group of sophomores to his liking earlier in the meeting and registered an impressive victory. The Britt gelding never fails to come forth with a creditable effort. First Bar has been unable to reach the winners circle in several starts here, but has been knocking at the victory door. In his last assignment he finished second to Cross Ring and in his previous outing placed second to Etcetera Jr. in one of the more thrilling stretch duels of the current session. Clara D. is one of the more pronounced local favorites and she is certain to at-j tract attention in the speculation. She won two races during the early portion of the meeting. Equichall has been lightly cam-j paigned this year and little is known of her present capabilities except through her morning workouts which have been satisfactory. Amber Miss, and the others could score should they choose to come forth with their -respective best efforts.
