Endurance Handicap Features Fort Miami Closing Program FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 13. — An endurance handicap at a mile and five furlongs will feature Saturdays closing-day program here at Fort Miami. Racing secretary John L. Watkins has named this : event, the longest of the current session, in honor of the 150th anniv usary of the State i of Ohio — the Sesquicentennial. At the completion of the mile and five i furlongs event, a trophy will be presented I the winning horse owner by Miss Janet ; Bailey of Akron, Ohio. Miss Bailey, an 18- ■ j year-old freshman of Akron University, was » i | chosen Miss Sesquicentennial in the contest t which found candidates from every county I in the Buckeye State. The final event of the nine-race program has been named the Au Revoir Purse and 1 j will be run over a distance. President Keller J will present a trophy at the end of the event t to the jockey leading in riding honors. . | Howard Craig of Royal Oak, Mich., with i more than double the victories of the nearest contender, appears at this time to be ; the saddlemite who will receive the much coveted trophy.
