Atlantic City Announcement Pleases Pimlico Officials PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 13. — Pimlico L_ officials were greatly interested in the ie announcement Tuesday that Atlantic City y plans to stress turf racing and has added several new features to its program. The ie Maryland Jockey Club has a turf course in n * the making and, while it will not be ready , ty for action for some time, probably next season, l" the development of turf horses in the East should help that branch of the sport rt when it comes to Pimlico. Grass on the ie Pimlico turf course, planted just this spring, B. is coming along nicely and makes a fine * appearance, even now. However, it requires time for the sod to grow firm enough to to stand the rigors of horses racing over it it and Pimlico will not open the course until ;il it is really ready.
