The latter, reserved within striking distance of the pace, moved readily when set down and just missed. U ASKED FORIT closed stoutly with a belated rush CHARING ROCK went along close to the pace and held on stubbornly. U. S. BOUND had no mishap CORUSCATE drew clear after a quarter mile, saved ground but weakened in the late stages. NINE GEES close up and under light restraint, failed to respond to late urging. FLYING MILE walked away from the barrier and was never a factor. GALILEO was rushed along the inside to take command before a quarter mile, then retired steadily. BIRDIE LULLEY opened a comfortable lead down the backstretch, shortened stride but held on to best the others. SIRENS RING worked her way up between horses to better late position. WHITE BONES, slow to begin, improved position gradually, although unable to reach serious contention. HOD CROWN weakened. LOIS CHEER was allowed to drop out of contention early. SAWDEE, quickest to begin, was placed under light restraint close to pace, rallied when roused but was not good enough. GOLDEN CHOICE came between horses with a belated rush. JANLO slow in getting started, made up ground in final quarter mile. RUTH weakened. FIGHTING THRU showed speed for a half mile and tired. REAL GONE showed nothing. MONEY CALL was outrun.
